Figured while undercoating the new guy, get the balrog done as well. Had to do a hack job on him after getting him from mike. The green stuff he used was pre the paint on stuff so was covering way to much detail. The celestant is coming together nicely. Just have to get the under areas done and i can get him together and have a easier time painting him.

After a brief hiatus we start again

Took a break after starting the carnifex from 15 years ago, and have grabbed a new model from the age of sigmar release. Hes complicated and i'm not % 100 as to how to to slot him together while permiting a good coverage but the paint.

Blood for the blood god, skulls for the skull throne

Done. Basing complete with 'Ardcoat and skulls glazed. Claws highlight and finger nails trimmed. Very happy with how it came out. Now to put it on display and finish the cleaning on the old screamer killer.

Finaly done a few of the minor details and a few more bits of the basing.

I think its one of the best ones yet.

Glued down... now... no touching for a while

The glue has to set used old fashioned white glue for the boards. After that. Just a few touch ups, like the wing claws and the the skulls that will litter the lave flow. He be done.

After a brief intolude. He continues the blood god. Now just have to wait till the wash on the base drys.

Have left off the breast plate and the right arm, as they interlink. Before base coating him with the spray.

Cover the wash

Finished the work from yesterday. Covered the purple wash with the light blue layer (so it shows through ever so slightly) and the bodies painted. Now for second wash.
